We realized there was a market place need for quality replacement heifers. We believed one could increase the value of their calf crop by also selling maternal genetics.
After searching for the traits we desired but discovering a shortage in supply, we created Kovarik Cattle Co. - a commercial cow calf operation with a growing registered Angus herd - and took genetic selection into our own hands.
With freedom to focus on the principles we desire, we base our selection on cattle that can both perform but also produce an excellent female.
Kovarik females are the product of careful selection. We create profitable offspring by sourcing top genetics from within our own herd and pairing them with complimentary outside genetics.
Kovarik sires are selected from proven cows that provide a foundation of predictable but essential traits, without ignoring the top tier EPD's many ranchers seek.
