Since he was little Luke has always known he wanted to run cattle. Upon graduating from UNL (Go Big Red) in 2009 with a masters in ruminant nutrition, he returned home to Ord and quickly seized any opportunities he could to lease cattle from neighbors while simultaneously beginning the slow and tedious process of acquiring land. Within 8 years he was able to build a thriving cow calf operation that focused on F1 replacement heifer production. It was then he leaned into his passion of genetics and expanded the ranch into the seedstock world.

MEET THE CREW
Mitchell grew up in Fremont, NE and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a major in Animal Science and minor in the Nebraska Beef Industry Scholars. His passion for the beef industry was established at a young age growing up helping on his family’s registered Angus operation near Palmer, NE. Mitch interned with us during the summer of 2022 and started full time in May of 2023 after graduating. He is a vital part of our operation, and we feel blessed to have him not just as an employee but as an extended part of our family. Mitch has a great eye for quality cattle and will be offering one bull in our 2025 sale, with more to come in future sales.

Tad is 19 and a freshman at Oklahoma State University. He is majoring in Ag Business and enjoys being involved in his fraternity and the freedom of no parents.
Jaks is 6 and a first grader at our local Catholic School. He is quite the talker, so be cautious of starting a conversation with him. He can often be found bossing his little brother around or bottle feeding 844.
Rue is 4 and the sweetest of the bunch.

Natalie is the ranches resident fair weather employee :)
She is a pharmacist by trade, but left her career off the ranch in 2020 to be home with her family more. She has spent the last 6 years sharing about agriculture online and is the host of the popular podcast Discover Ag.
