Throughout his years as a commercial cow calf operator Luke realized there was a market place need for quality replacement heifers. He believed one could increase the value of their calf crop by also selling maternal genetics.
After searching for the traits he desired but discovering a shortage in supply, Luke created Kovarik Cattle Co. - a commercial cow calf operation with a growing registered Angus herd - and took genetic selection into his own hands.
With freedom to focus on the principles he desired, Luke based his selection on cattle that could both perform and produce an excellent female.

We have carefully selected top genetics from within our own herd as well as outside breeding programs to produce top performing bulls for our customers.
Kovarik Cattle Co prioritizes functional females above all else. We breed for basic traits such feet, legs, udders and disposition. Our goal is to always seek performance in the cattle but not at the cost of losing functionality.
